Adoption fee for all dogs and puppies is $90 plus the cost of a dog license if you live in El Dorado County ($15). This includes the spay/neuter, rabies vaccination, a starter bag of food and a microchip. We CANNOT take in any owner surrender dogs that are not from El Dorado County. And then they must pass STRICT behavior evaluations to be considered for adoption.

We are happy for our dogs to go to good homes anywhere but you must come to the shelter to submit an application form, and collect the dog. We do require proof you own your own home or that your landlord is happy for you to have a pet. We speak to the landlord and also verify that he/she owns the property. We often do a fence check.
