Biography
"Dolly's Story - The Ultimate Betrayal" This little girl was a Christmas gift for a family 5 years ago. The family wanted their children to experience the "joy" of puppies and she had several litters during her life with them. Dolly was a part of the family, and from the time she was a puppy, lived indoors, slept with the children, went on camping trips and posed for many a "family" photo - Why then, would this family "member" end up in the pound after so many years of devotion and love . . . ? The kids are older and the novelty of having a dog has worn off - who will pick up the poop, who will take her for a walk, who will feed her & make sure she has water? NO ONE. Rather than honor the commitment to this sweet girl, they dumped her at the pound, citing "no time" - Dolly was heartbroken, she was not up to date on her vaccines and developed a nasty strain of Kennel Cough. She was scheduled for death and because of one of her buddies, a Beagle named Milo, was brought to the attention of Marley's Pit Stop Rescue and both she & Milo were adopted hours before they were going to be killed. Dolly is a loving, trusting and affectionate girl. She looks like a big Jack Russell Terrier with cute little ears that sit high on her head. She gets along with others and her favorite companion is Milo, the Beagle. Dolly walks nicely on a leash, is housebroken and LOVES to sit on the sofa and nap. Now over her kennel cough, grateful to be cared for and loved, Dolly is ready to believe again in a "forever" home. If you want a gentle, trained, easy going, low maintenance and oh so gorgeous pooch, Dolly is your girl. Gaze in to her eyes, see the love and tenderness and help us write a better story for this precious angel.
