How to search for dogs:
Use the search option to find dogs according to location, gender, organization, name, and/or ID. You can use one or all of the options. The more information you enter, the more specific the results will be. Or if you want to browse through all of the listings on PBRC,
simply go to the "Find A Dog" page and click "Search." You do NOT have to enter any specific information unless you are searching for a certain dog.

How to create an account:

1. Go to the program home page. Click on "create an account". Fill in your name and a valid email address that you check often. Choose “add user”. You will receive a “completed” message, with instructions to check your email for further instructions.

2. Check your email. You will receive an activation email message. Click on the link (or cut and paste it into your browser) provided in the email to activate your log-in and create your listing. You will be asked to create a password. Click “update information”. You will receive a “completed” message. Click on the “login page” link to proceed.

Be sure to place PBRC on your safe/authorized list to insure you receive communications. Check your spam folder if you don't find it in your email inbox. Please note that you must activate your login before you can create a listing. If you do not receive the activation email within 8 hours, contact doglistings@pitbullinfo.net

3. Log-in using your email address and your newly created password.

You have now created an account within PBRC’s doglisting program. After following the steps to create an account you will be brought to the welcome page automatically. In the future, you will need to choose “Login to your PBRC account” from the menu on the home page.

Listing a dog as an individual not affiliated with a rescue or shelter:

Add an organization – any person wishing to list a dog must create an organization –

1. Choose “Add an organization” from the menu of options across the top of the home page. Fill in the information as required. Please note, the fields in red are required. Even if you are not affiliated with a rescue group or shelter, “Organization name” must be populated. For a listing of a single dog, use the name of the dog for the “Organization name”.  NOTE: PBRC does not recommend you provide your physical street address as this information may be viewed by the general public on the master organization list.

The organizations that appear in the Rescues list is dependant upon the type of organization selected in the organizational profile. Currently, "Foster Home" and "Other" do not appear on the list. Those listings can still be found, however,  by performing a state, zip code, or name search from the search page.

2. Once you’ve filled in the info, click continue. This will bring you to a page titled – Review Organization information. If you need to make changes to the organization profile, click on “go back” to make changes. Once you’ve made any changes and are ready to go forward in the dog listing process, click Add Organization. You will receive a completed message. Click on the link to return to the home page.

The newly created organization will require approval by PBRC before you can begin listing dog(s). A web team member will be in contact with you regarding your approval status.

Add a dog – If you have already created an organization, and have received approval, you may choose “list a dog” from the option menu. If you have not, please follow the instructions above to create an organization.

1. Choose “list a dog” from the menu of options across the top of the home page. If you are listing a dog for the first time, please read the information provided on the first page of the Submission Form. Many questions you may have can be answered by reading the info provided. Once you have read the information, click Continue.

2. You will be brought to the PBRC Submission Form. Fill in the information as required. Again, fields in RED are required. The form will not allow you to move forward if any of the red fields are left blank. Be sure to choose the correct organization name from the pulldown menu if you’ve listed individual dogs on PBRC more than once.

Please fill in the form as completely as possible. The more information you provide about the dog, the better chance the dog will be adopted. Please note, if there is no final adoption date for the dog being listed, please leave the field blank. If you put anything other than a date with the field, you will get an error message. If the dog does have a final adoption date, use the calendar icon to choose the correct date, otherwise you will receive an error message and won’t be able to move forward.

3. Once you’ve filled in the info, click continue. This will bring you to a page titled – Review Dog information. If you need to make changes to the dog listing, click on “go back” to make changes. Once you’ve made any changes and are ready to go forward in the dog listing process, click Add Dog. You will receive a completed message. Click on the link to return to the menu page.

Listing a dog (or dogs) for a rescue organization or shelter

Add an organization – If you or someone else from your org have previously added the organization, you may bypass adding the organization, and go directly to “add a dog”. If you are not sure, you may search for your organization by state by clicking on “Find an organization” in the options menu on the home page.

1. Choose “Add an organization” from the menu of options across the top of the home page. Fill in the information as required. Please note, the fields in red are required. The form will not allow you to move forward if any of the red fields are left blank.

Add a dog – If you have already created an organization, and have received approval, you may choose “add a dog” from the option menu. If you have not, please follow the instructions above to create an organization.

Be sure to choose the correct organization name from the pulldown menu if you list dogs for more than one organization on PBRC.
